Lateral Kindness

Lateral Kindness Level 3: Kindness Keeper

Every Indigenous community and organization needs people to help create a safe, peaceful and productive environment for gathering and working.

This course is an extended face-to-face program for people who want to deepen their self-awareness and master the skills needed to prevent and respond to lateral violence in group settings (work meetings; leadership meetings; community gatherings; general assemblies).

We are currently in the process of piloting this new course. We anticipate being able to offer the first course to the public early in 2026. If you are interested, put your name on the waiting list as soon as possible to reserve a place.

This course consists of 3 modules:

  1. Understanding the core elements of a safe and productive environment for group collaboration
  2. Practicing the process of getting a group to develop and agree to guidelines, rules, roles and processes
  3. Practicing the process of intervening when a group member does not respect these agreements

In this program you will get a significant amount of individual attention and coaching, and you will regularly assess your existing skill base, your strengths, and your areas for growth. This is an intention and practice- driven program.
